So, I might possibly be getting 3 SS soon but my coop hasn't arrived yet. I DO however have a shed in my backyard that I will just have to clean out a bit. SO, if I house the three SS in the shed for a few days until the coop arrives and while I'm building it, will they learn to live in their coop once I build it?

chickens are pretty easy...I have put mine in large wired dog kennels for 2wks to seperate in emgerencys and they do just fine...just as long as they have plently of clean water...and shade from the sun/heat...and where a dog or something cant hurt or kill them...

Depending on how used to the shed they get before you get their coop built, you might have to lock them in the coop for a week or so until they accept it as home.
My chickens spent their first 5- 6 months or so living on the screened porch. We liked to never get their coop built. Come the first night with the finished coop, sure enough they all lined up at the screened door to go to bed.

Well, I'm hoping that this lady calls me back today or tomorrow and tells me that the SS I'm drooling over so much are mine, and then I'll REALLY be trying to figure this out. We'll see. For now, this is just a "I'm wondering about this" kind of question. I REALLLLLY want these chickens though.

What was not so funny is that my DH's precious harley davidson was parked in front of the door at the time. My young rooster decided that since I wouldn't open the door, he would just roost on the handlebars!
Luckily, I spotted him a nano-second before DH did.
Good luck on getting your dream chickens.
