I mix ground up cat food in with the gamebird food. I add 15 cups ground cat food to every 20lbs of gamebird food just to boost the protein.
I think it is a good idea the way you are giving it as a treat more so. If they fill up on just that they wont get the nutrition they need from the other foods.
