I was just wondering why you can eat a chicken 24 hrs after treating with Tylan or some other antibiotics, but they say not to eat the eggs? Is this forever, for a month or what? I mean if you can eat them why not the eggs after a couple of weeks or so.

Anybody with an answer or an opinion? Please? Something is better than nothing.

I always thought it was two weeks regardless if you were planning on butchering the bird or just eating the eggs.......never heard that you could eat it immediately after treating..........

Yeah, the directions on the bottle of Tylan said 24 hrs for butchering the birds and not to be used for layers.

This is a double post.

Regardless of what it says, I wouldn't. That just doesn't make any sense to me. I'm just that way I guess.

That's basically the way I am too, but it's always good to get a backup for my reasoning. Thank you so much.
