Hello, i have 4 chickens and 1 rooster. I would love to get some other kind of birds to be with them in the same coop, just a couple of them (1 girl 1 boy). I want to free range them as well like i do with my chickens. My chickens also listen to me when i say "inside" they go in the coop.

I want:

1) Birds that would not fly over the fence (6.5 feet) because i dont want to loose any. (i dont want to cut their wings to avoid that, i want to keep them as they were born)
2) Birds that would not mind sharing a coop with chickens and not mess with them.
3) Birds that will not see me as an intruder (not listen to me like chickens do, but not too wild on free range)

Should i get a couple of turkeys?

If you have a better idea, like another kind of birds, please let me know.

I have'nt kept turkeys yet, but I hear you're not supposed to house turkeys with chickens as they are prone to some diseases that chickens carry.

The chicken run has top but i want a bird to free range with my chickens. That fence is around the property. But if they can fly out of the fence, that means i cannot free range them so i cannot get them.

What other bird would not bother to fly 6 feet except chickens (if they wanted they could fly too, but they dont bother)
Any ideas are welcome

the only time my turkeys leave the yard is when they follow the guineas. walk not fly. crazy guineas like to play chicken with cars in the road. otherwise mine dont even go under the hot wire fence.

Does not apply in my case because from the inside the fence is 6 feet but its on 12 feet wall from the outside, that makes it almost 20 feet high from the outside, but thanks for the information i see your point
