Will it disturb the egg laying/brooding process if I changed the straw in our dog igloo and put fresh straw or bedding in it? And will it damage or harm the eggs if I put Aspen Bedding in there that is scent free? I like that stuff to absorb odor, especially with the ducks. I won't do anything until I hear back, but I would put the eggs right where she laid them and make that bowl shape? Or basically should I leave well enough alone?

I'm probably doing everything wrong but I ended up moving their dog igloo and nest back to their original home below our trampoline where they have resided most of the summer. When she laid her 1st egg in our shower stall I thought I'd move them up onto our deck, but every time they go off they go to the trampoline and forage there and lay and so on, so they know that is their home. So I took the eggs out of the dog igloo, power washed it, and then filled it with Aspen Bedding with no oils in the wood bedding and made a bowl shape in the same spot she made the previous nest and laid the eggs how she had them. Hopefully I didn't just mess up a good thing I just figured if that is where they feel at home and where they belong, they would be more comfortable brooding and hatching their babies. The trampoline is barricaded with chicken wires and organize it cube panels. Here is what it looks like.

They love it in there and it is very secure, so hopefully they will start brooding. I think maybe that is why the male will calm down, until we open their door to let them run.
