i just received a Arminius HW 7T Revolver in terrible, terrible condition. i restored it to the best of my ability and it fires without a problem now, but the front sights are missing, it was like that when i got it. i can't find ANY sights that will/might fit it. now within out price range at least.

anyhow, i want to know of anyone knows where to get sights for it for a good price and if this scope will fit my new revolver. any other advice is welcome and thanks in advance guys!

It's a .22 right? why do you want a scope for a revolver? I'm not being smarmy just wondering i'm pretty new to the gun world. Check Brownells for sights.

Asked DH and he said to try Lyman Sights. Do a google search.

As far as the scope goes, he said that most revolvers must be drilled and tapped for scope mount.

and yes it's a .22, the previous owners did no maintenance on it whatsoever, and the poor thing degenerated into a piece of powder-stained metal that would not fire a thing. for one, revolvers need more maintenance than your average gun (oiling, lubrication, bore cleaning) and two, using a gun until it can't fire anymore is like running a car until it breaks down with no maintainable. shame on these poor people. just as a car needs mot than gas to go, a gun needs more than bullets to keep firing. my boyfriend claims the gun as his, just like he does with all my other guns because "women shouldn't have such dangerous weapons!"

darn right! anyway he said if we can't find a cheap set of sights we might just have to get a scope for it so we don't have to shoot point blank at everything. i do understand why most people wouldn't, revolvers just don't have the range that hunting rifles do, so a scope would be kinda silly.

and thanks, i will check right now

hopefully i can find something for under $100

i will do a search. and thanks! i read a review on a couple of handgun scopes and those with revolvers were unamused, which made me skeptical. tell the DH thanks for me!

[EDIT] HEY! i just realized i might be able to just mount a laser on it! that would be more ridiculous than the scope idea, but anyone have any experience with it?

Shame when people get anything and don't treat it properly. I got into guns about 8 months ago and have been trying to educate myself as much as possible when I can. I have a Ruger GP 100 with a 3" Barrel I love that revolver! Seeing it is what got me interested in the first place. It was in great shape when I got it and I keep it shiny and lubed. We now have 8 guns thanks to my boyfriend and a great teacher to instruct us in care and use.

My favorite moment was at a work party bf and I were discussing our guns and my bosses wife who was eavesdropping said "Oh Nikki you have guns? I thought you were one of the normal ones"

Good luck getting it fully functional again! It's good to see girls knowledgeable about such "manly" things

Option 1: Gunsmith.

Option 2: If the gun's not worth option one, piece of steel, sawzall, welder, bottle of bluing.
