how many egges can a chicken lay in one day ? and i got my first turkey egg today

according to the books...it takes approximately 25 hours for the chicken's body to produce an egg. So one-per-day. Many breeds lay fewer than that. Perhaps 3-5 per week.

I have a EE that laid two eggs in one afternoon. I know it was her, because shes the only hen I have that lays blue eggs. The eggs are collected at the end of every day, and its hard to miss the blue eggs when collecting.
