Question for homemade incubator experts?

Yup - I researched a few of those cabinet incubators to get the idea and modified it to suit the foam box. The only thing I'm not keen on is that with foam boxes, you pretty much are stuck with fixed sizes (unless you cut them) and there's a fair bit of dead 'space' in there that's unused...

You know, you could use two or three foam boxes together and connect them with tubing and fans to distribute the heat and humidity. You could use one box for the heat and humidity source and blow into adjacent boxes. Just a thought.

I went ahead and bought a Little Giant bator to do my first round of hatching in. I already had bought the egg turner with quail rails for this bator. All I lacked was a fan, and the cheapest I could find the fan that's suppose to go in this unit was $34. I ran across this one, and ordered it. http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Circulated-Air-Fan-Kit-for-Incubator_W0QQitemZ130370393194QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item1e5aae546a

For
any of you LG incubator owners, I'm assuming the fan blows "DOWN"?

In my homemade cabinet incubator i point it up and away so as to create a circular motion of air, it seems to be working flawlessly about 10 hatches so far.

Yeah, but the fan intended for the Little Giant is mounted on the styrofoam top. And can't tell if it is made with a gap between it and the top so the air can be pulled from the bottom, and recirculated..........or.......blows right down on the eggs?

I cut some 1/4" tubing1 " long and put it in between my puter fan and the top of the bator, I used drywall screws to fasten it with, with the fan blowing upwards I figured the fan washing down the walls would be better then blowing right on the eggs I hit lockdown today I will let you know in a few days how it worked I ahve 30 coturnix eggs in there
