Question for those who ship eggs.....

I hope you get your eggs but if you don't and the seller did NOT have a delivery confirmation then you CAN get your money back from paypal if you file a dispute. I know from personal experience. I used to sell alot of stuff on ebay and there was a couple times that the buyer said they didn't receive the items and I couldn't prove I sent them because I didn't have a DC...soooo they filed a dispute and won and I had to refund them the money....ALL of it. So after that, no matter what the item cost I ALWAYS got a delivery confirmation when I shipped. So ask them if they got a DC and if not I would ask them to ship you more eggs, or ask for a refund and if you have to....file a dispute. I hope it don't lead to that and your eggs come soon. Good luck!!!

I asked her if she would ship anymore and I even offered to pay shipping. She said her hen is broody and I would have to wait b/c there is someone else she owes eggs to because they were crushed during shipment. I have no problem filing with paypal but I don't want to have to resort to that though.

I recently bought some rather expensive eggs. The PO took a week to deliver in incredible heat. The seller had a tracking number, deliv confirmation, priority mail . . . it just happens sometimes. She (a BYCer) nicely offered to replace the eggs.
I incubated first just in case, but only got three viable and in the end one chick, so I am going to take her up on her offer - even though I feel it was in no way her fault and that she is going beyond expectations with her offer. I feel very lucky to be dealing with such a gracious seller.

I just had some eggs arrive today that took 8+ days to get here so I am a bit worried that they won't hatch. Goodness knows what happened to them on their adventure.

Not the fault of the seller though.

Usually I receive eggs 1-3 days after shipping.

I wish that the person I was getting eggs from was a fellow byc'er b/c I'm sure they would offer the same. However no one on here sold lemon blue cochin eggs.....

I have learned from experiences other than eggs if you won't get your item within 45 days file a complaint and get a refund or you might not get anything!

The seller can't prove the item was sent, after it leaves her hands she's done her part, but if she can't prove that... You can always get a refund and get eggs from her later, when they are ready to go.

As a buyer and a seller no one should have to pay for something they don't get! Great sellers, even egg sellers will deal with you, I know from personal experience! In the end it comes down to trust that you'll get what you paid for.

Still no eggs....what to do? Here is what I received as a reply when I said I would wait a week to see if her broody hen would lay some more and if not then we would discuss a refund or another type of replacement. I also asked which po she sent it from so I could contact them and find out where the eggs went from there. I also asked which day it was sent. No reply to that either.

****I really dont have anything at this point still with me as far as reciepts go. I usualy send them off and dont worry about it unless a tracking is ordered, unfortunately I think I am just going to have to start charging more and adding tracking to all my orders. My post office dosent include it, though I am told some less rural ones include it automatically. My resend/refund policy is that I will be happy to send more eggs as soon as I get them for no charge as long as you pay for the shipping. I dont give refunds unless my hens stop laying, or anything happens to the eggs before they leave my hands. Let me know what you want me to do. A week is fine if that works for you, or sooner, either way, just let me know***

Should I wait for a replacement? How do I know these were even sent out? There really is not proof? I don't want to be mean about it but I don't think I should have to pay for shipping on a new batch since I have no proof the others were even sent. Suggestions on how to handle this now.

If you bought these off ebay, then file a complaint. If you 'wait' you will lose any opportunity to get resolution. There is no such thing as 'no refund' on ebay, I don't care how many times you say it in your description.

Her hen is broody? Hen? As in one hen? Am I misunderstanding that? How many eggs are you expecting? Because it would take some time to get enough eggs together from one hen... Personally, I would hope that a seller had enough hens laying that they could collect all of my eggs within a few days, at most.

I'm very inexperienced with shipping eggs, though. I wish you the best of luck completeing this transaction.

Priority shipping on some eggs for me from florida to MN took 4 days! By the time I got them some were 2 weeks old already. The seller was very kind and offered to replace the eggs for the cost of shipping if I had a bad hatch which is exactly what I would do if the tables were turned. I hope your eggs arrive tomorrow and all is well with them
