I am fairly new to caring for chickens. I inherited a nice coop and three hens several months ago. They roam freely and forage all day. I supplement with organic laying pellets and fresh water. I noticed today that the comb on one of my girls has gone from red to pale pink. Google says may be sign of malnutrition but she seems to have a good appetite and is not at all underweight. I'm kind of worried about her. Ask a vet sites charge $30+
I was hoping someone here might have a suggestion of what I can do for her.

Not malnutrition. If you are in the northern hemisphere, with declining day length, pale shrunken combs (and a dearth of eggs) is perfectly normal this time of year.

Is she molting? How is her egg production?

Also, make sure she is eating. When you pick her up is her breast bone more boney than usual?
