I'm decently certain they are both female. No. 2 does have a slightly more light 'bib' than you'd usually find in a female, but it's not white as it would be in a male and her feathers have a pattern all the way down on her sides and belly which males usually don't.

ThankS DK newbie! You have helped so much with identifying our quail. That has them all ID. LOL. BTW the female the other day finally laid! Now to wait for these two. We should be getting a dozen Tuxedo eggs in tomorrow so we are looking forward to hatching a new group. Have a great day.. What area of the country are you in. We are in Louisiana.
