I'm very surprised by how many have answered no. It makes me feel better that I am not alone. I am not completely deprived of hugs, though - I hug my dogs often!

My mini Aussie makes a huge deal about getting a squeeze every half hour, they're the best and only hugs I like

When I feel really down, I just reach out for a hugs from family and friends. So many documentaries and articles these days about loneliness from all age groups, a big hugs like @notabitail 's church is much welcome.

It very much depends. A hug from my parents and even my sister is always appreciated, good friends are okay, other than that, don’t touch me
