Edit to say that I have never experience people I just meet try to hug me

Come on down to my Southern Baptist Church. You'll have a sore rib cage and hand after all the squeezes and shakes are over with, you'll probably feel rather hoarse after all the small talk.

I'm very surprised by how many have answered no. It makes me feel better that I am not alone. I am not completely deprived of hugs, though - I hug my dogs often!

My mini Aussie makes a huge deal about getting a squeeze every half hour, they're the best and only hugs I like

When I feel really down, I just reach out for a hugs from family and friends. So many documentaries and articles these days about loneliness from all age groups, a big hugs like @notabitail 's church is much welcome.
