How many siblings do you have? I have two brothers.

I'm an only, and so is my son.

My take on siblings, after much life experience, is that the pros and cons are about equal. When you're young and only, you have all the attention, but when your parents age, everything falls on you. When you're young with siblings, you have to share attention, but you have others to lean on later, hopefully.

technically, 2 half-brothers. But I've never met one of them. And I have a sister-in-law if that counts.

I have a twin and a younger brother. People always ask if I like being a twin. It’s hard to answer because yes! I love having a best friend through thick and thin irregardless of anything. But also, I wouldn’t know what life is like without one!

You’re right. I was always steadfast thinking siblings offer a lot of benefits and teach important social skills. But I see the hardships my fiancé has gone through with his sibling and it’s hard to think he benefited from having a sibling. He’s done very well for what he’s gone through but it makes me sad to think he’s had to go through those things.
