A head-on accident claimed the lives of a 29-year-old woman and her unborn child.

For me, it's the fires in the LA areas. Whole neighborhoods reduced to ashes. It's devastating. Thousands of homes and businesses lost. Tens of thousands of people suddenly homeless. Lives lost. It's so, so sad.

For me, it's usually something on BYC. So many sick or hurt birds that are in such a way that I want to reach through the screen and shake the owners until they put their poor birds out of their misery. In order to hold my tongue and not explode, I try to avoid those sections.
