Question of the Day - Friday, May 30th, 2025

I don’t like irons and irons don’t like me. Ours makes an angry “fwuh, fwuh, FWAH” sound and spits hot water when I try to use it.
Mostly I just wear things to get the wrinkles out. :) or hang it in the bathroom when the shower’s on.

My GS (YS) wears wrinkled flannel shirts to church and i think it looks horrendous. As if he is lazyy and has no self-respect, in fact, lol. But I don't think ironing is the answer. I think he needs to put them on a hanger when they come out of the dryer. It looks like he puts them between the mattress and box spring, all wadded up and sleeps on them for three days. :lau But he's an adult so I guess he can do what he wants.

For myself, no, my ironing days are long behind me. As soon as I was tall enough not to burn myself I started ironing my dad's handkerchiefs. Then I graduated to pillowcases. Finally I was entrusted with his work shirts and trousers. I even ironed a dress or two. And then, hallelujah! Polyester was invented and I never looked back! Wash and wear, yahoo!
