Question of the Day - Monday, April 21st, 2025

Thirteen got its bad reputation (supposedly) because of the number of people at the Last Supper: Jesus and the 12 disciples ... and look how that turned out. Unlucky for Jesus, some might say.

But very lucky for the rest of us ...
There is also a strong tie to Norse Mythology and a story where Loki arrived as the 13th guest at a feast in Valhalla and tricked another guest into murdering the god Baldur. Clearly pre-Christianity, but the oldies are the goodies, so they say.
I learn something new here, I did not know both the stories until now.

So...what 42 mean? It is the answer, but what it is?
It's from "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe Galaxy." The computer comes up with "42" as the ultimate meaning of life.

It's just a ridiculous joke.

Now I know why @electrycmonk used to have "42!" In his signature. :thumbsup
