What about Lenovo?

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad X260 and really like it.

I have a stinkpad. It's a workhorse, but it's just too far outdated to be useful for more than web browsing or word docs.

Which one?

Clean the fan out if it stinks.

I have a IdeaPad. That thing is terrible. I use the ThinkPad even though it's older.

Don't look at pricing for macbooks then.

$3,199+tax for the MacBook Pro I'd want. Quite "mind blowing" and "head turning" prices, eh, Apple.

At the price I'd pay for that laptop I'd rather build my own desktop and keep the ThinkPad on the side.

If I can manage to save up enough money instead of impulse buying old towers from the thrift store then maybe I can afford to scrape up a decent PC and upgrade the parts later.

This is what I'm window shopping right now. I'm not a laptop fan mostly due to terrible options for expansion and configurability. However, I really could use one for photos shoots and particularly as I start to explore astrophotography. So,

Fully modular, upgradeable, and nearly 100% self-servicable. Not for everyone, but a few of us may appreciate this.

I did a long time ago it’s old old not useable at all.
