Question of the Day - Monday, February 17th, 2025

We have the thermostats programmed to 76 from 6am to 9pm. 72 until 11pm, then 70 to sleep. There is zero practical chance I get the house below 70 during the summer without a 1k electric bill, and I'll pass on that :p

We rarely run our heat pump, but they're set to 68.

76 was my Dad's perfect temperature.

If I'm the only one home (and often that's the case) I don't mind 78. In summer when the kids are home and one of them is infesting my office, it gets stuffier faster so 76 is the balance point.

Ours is set to 74 but it stays around 70 in the bedrooms. The stove gets it pretty hot on the main floor in the winter though, probably upper 70s. That's too hot for me.
