One year the kids from two houses down, and my brother, sister and I raked all the leaves from our house down to theirs into a giant pile under one of their trees. We'd climb the tree to (what seemed to me) a "really high" branch, and let go and drop into the pile. Hysterical laughter ensued.

The people at house in between ours weren't home that night; they came home to a raked lawn.

Yes, when I was a kid. My sister and I made houses out of them and we’d visit and have tea and nut pie (aka chrysanthemum leaves and crushed acorns).
