Weeell, I usually can sleep if the sun isn't shining in my eyes but once I fall asleep we're home

Yes, and it's almost guaranteed if I'm driving. I have to make sure to stay on the phone with someone the entire time if I'm in a position where I need to drive myself somewhere, just in case.

I can fall asleep, but it's not a deep or restful sleep. It's more of a doze.

I can stay awake driving if I drive at night. Driving during the day is a lot harder to stay awake. Blame it on long trips from Denver to Phoenix on Route 66 when I was a kid.
