Hot Wheels or Matchbox?

The funny thing is none of them ran that livery. Just the hotwheels
I think it's Hot Wheels cutting corners (possibly to put more money into detailing the headlights) or they just figure nobody pays attention to the bottom anyway. It might also have some to do with the tracks, as these are all newer models and cars that could possibly go on a track.

Here's some comparisons on some newer models:

The two Toyotas have more on the chassis, but these models are collectors only, and will probably never be sold as the $1.08 car at Walmart. Their licensing also was just renewed and is a harder one to get, especially on the 4Runner, so that might effect the reason behind it being released only as a collector and is wicked hard to get.

The rest of these have models released as the average Hot Wheels, though I'm unsure of the Alpha Romeo. The Range Rover is the only one (besides the Toyotas), that probably won't do good on a track.

On a side note, different designers design these cars and by going on Hot Wheels Wiki, you can see what designer made which model. By checking out the designer's models, you may find their chassises are similar in all their models.
