Question of the Day - Saturday, February 17th, 2024

It is so interesting to read the reactions to this question. I love big wide open spaces; and I think this is strongly connected to my love of birds since they get to fly in the open sky. I have aways admired birds in flight, especially if they are gliding. And my love of birds is what brought me to Backyard Chickens.

So yes, I have done skydiving; and also paragliding. I prefer paragliding because one can stay up in the air for much longer and can do more "tricks" while on the wing, like corkscrewing over and over again.

However, you will never get me to go down in a submarine by choice. The fear of air not being available if things go wrong with the submarine is far stronger than any fear I may have of things going wrong while up in the sky. Yet I love the ocean... at least being on the surface of the ocean. Again, there is wide open spaces while sailing; or even while standing on a surfboard.

I guess a question of how adventurous one is, is maybe relative to the activity? I am sure there are things that you guys on this thread will do that I will never try because my adventures are almost limited to activities done in the sky. So the saying "the sky is the limit" might mean something different to me.
😂

I haven't been zip-lining, but I think I could do that.
Yes, climbing in trees and zip-lining to come down was great fun.
Never tried or have the appetite for skydiving or bungee jumping.
A trip in an air balloon like on the photo was a great experience.
