Do you wash your eggs before consumption? Or do you just collect them and call it good?

If they are dirty, yes.

Wipe them off or wash them if they've got poop or crud on them. Otherwise, no. I don't eat the shell so it's not a big deal.

I wash my eggs for two reasons. One, my Mom likes them washed, so if there's a chance she'll get some, then they need to be clean, and two, I sell them and the buyer wants them cleaned too. If it's just me and they're not overly dirty, I use them fresh out of the egg basket. I do think it's better that they are cleaned though because sometimes a piece of shell will drop into whatever I'm cooking, and my luck it'll be a dirty piece.

I clean eggs collected from the nest boxes with tissue, wash them if they dirty.

I wash all my eggs before I cook them.

Normally not since they are always very clean.

If there's a bit of mud that's still wet, I'll wipe it off on my trousers or sleeve. If it's dry but thick enough to pick off, I'll do that. Otherwise no.

I find the obsession some people have with washing eggs really weird.

I just collect them. Only wash them if they’re absolutely filthy.

If they look clean I do not.
If they are dirty I feed to dogs or toss.
