Question of the Day - Sunday, February 4th, 2024

I use a gallon milk jug to take water out in the morning.

A lot of stuff in the coop and run is made from scraps of lumber left over from other projects. I've made a few things out of pallet wood too.

Since Kathy hasn’t posted it yet, I took it on my own hands.

Do you recycle in the chicken coop? I have been using 2 liter soda bottles to bring water to all 4 of my chicken coops.
coop is made of leftover wood from my nana's wheelchair ramp, and old bricks that were just lying in the yard. tried to make a nest box out of some old milk crates, but Star, my only layer as the others are still pullets, chooses to leave her eggs in the cat bed

We use recycled milk jugs for water and the bricks around the run were recycled. Sometimes, I recycle the egg shells back to the ladies as a treat. It’s fun watching them chase each other around for a taste of egg shell.

Do you recycle in the chicken coop?
I don't understand the question.
Like do I sit in the coop and recycle?
So like hanging out in the coop, drinking beer, smashing the empties and throwing them in a bag to take to the recycling center?
No I don't do anything like that.
