Posting here on BYC is as close to a diary as I have. I write stuff on the calendar, but it's reminder type stuff. Like when I brew and bottle my kombucha. That sort of thing.

Nope, no diaries. Writing about what I done in a day is something that does not interest me.

When I was growing up people would gift me diaries for some reason. I'd make an attempt, fill a few pages, and promptly remember why I dislike diaries. What I do like is this thing I got my mother to do with me. We keep a journal and take turns thinking up a weekly prompt, like "how do you think your life would be different without animals?" or "describe your first kiss." At the end of the year we mail our journals to the other so we can read them, and we continue writing about new prompts until the end of that year when we mail the journals back again, repeating indefinitely. I've learned a lot about my mother this way.

Yes, I have two diaries - one on an app and one in a notebook. I've been writing the notebook version for ten years now!
