Question of the Day - Sunday, July 28th, 2024

I used to, when I was in middle school. Then my neighbor, who I thought was a friend, stole it and made copies of it and threatened to pass it around the school if I didn't do something for her. I don't even remember what that something was, I just remember how she looked when she ran home with her nose bleeding. Yeah, you don't threaten TripleThreat.
P.S. I got all the copies back

Yes, I've kept a physical, hand-written diary for 17 years, but I've been having trouble keeping up with it in recent years.
In some circles, that's what's known as "evidence".

Non.
I’ve tried, but I have a snoopy mom.
Who says you have to write things in your diary that you don't want others to know about?

Get a diary with a lock and key and hide the key somewhere where she will never think to look....
I can tell you why. Nosey Moms take locked and hidden diaries as a challenge. She's nosey in the first place, now you're purposefully hiding things from her? What is it? Why would you need to hide things from Mom? Are you experimenting with drugs? Is someone bullying you? It could be a million terrible things. She MUST find out to make sure you're safe.

Just don't keep a diary, or don't put anything in it you wouldn't want Mom to know.

Better Idea. Decoy diary. She's GOING to find it if you hide it. So leave her one to find.

I have never been good at keeping a diary or journal, even when I was in therapy. But now I have a few threads on here that I consider "diaries". One about my call ducks, one about my Wyandottes, and others about my current projects. Even if no one reads them, it feels nice to explain and type out my thoughts and experiences.
