I usually flush them we used to toast them on the gas stove LOL but now we have electric lol

They "supposedly" can crawl out of your septic tank. Where I live, I used to never have ticks get on me, and now I do. I think ticks will get anywhere eventually, but we have wondered if it was from flushing them.

What is the BIC treatment?

Wash with Lysol soap (diluted) for seed ticks, or if you don't have any, slather with any oil. Skin So Soft or cooking oil. Then wash that off in the shower. Careful not to slip and fall! Got this from a SIL, a retired nurse, she did this on her kids.

Yes many times, I recently went after a deer tick that was attached in my hubbies belly button.

No, catch 'em crawling or after pulling with tweezers put on a light colored surface, give 'em a runnin' start then put the flame to 'em.
I hate them with a passion and want to ensure death.

Never had them myself, but had to de tick son after he attended a mates sleepout bucks do.
These were kangaroo ticks.
Firmly pull out with tweezers, making sure to grab as close to the body as possible so the head does not stay behind. Squash flat with a brick.

Flush 'em. Or drop them in a cup of soapy water and wash them down the sink drain. With very hot water.

Ticks were uncommon enough where I grew up that my grandparents once bought a property and sold it immediately when they realized ticks were on it. There was plenty of property that came without that hazard. Had I fully comprehended the tick situation out here, I would have probably set my sights on moving to a different state. They are truly an impairment towards living a normal life. I have never in my life felt so constrained, and the fact that everyone living around us here either has lyme or alpha-gal syndrome just breaks my brain. As it is, I pop garlic cloves like pills every day in Spring and douse myself in bug spray if I think there's even a possibility I'll look in the direction of the woods.
I truly can not overstate how  horrifying the tick situation is when you come from an area where you can go years without ever seeing one, and the ones you do see are practically guaranteed to be lyme free.
