Ok, now we are talking cabinet colors? I don't have upper cabinets, it's all open shelves(love this idea) and I have a wooden island that is dark on the bottom with lighter top. My counter top is a cheap one and light beige. We are gonna redo the kitchen so everything is "just for now"

Just about everything in our house is wood, so I have wood cabinets, wood ceiling. The backsplash is a faux brick that goes not at all with the yellow counter tops, but oh well.

Redoing the kitchen is waaaaaay down the list. We've lived with it for 30 years, and can live with it for 30 more if need be. It's functional. That's all I ask.
