Question of the Day - Thursday, August 28th, 2025

Wait! Horchata is great, and rice pudding is okay. I haven't made either of those in ages though - I've forgotten what rice I used to make them.
Rats! I'm looking for a good recipe for horchata.

Oh hmmm, fried rice, Spanish rice, wild rice, and horchata
Do YOU have a good recipe for horchata????

When it come to which rice, as Grain,,,, I used many different kind, and liked most of them on same level,,, (Basmati, Jasmine, Wild Rice, Long Grain, Parboiled, and others)
Only one that fell out of favor was Brown Rice. The cooking process is different, And I'm not inspired by that.

Now to cooked rice dishes. That is different category.
We eat rice regularly in our household. When I cook up a batch, there is always a quantity leftover for next couple days.
Arroz Con Gandules. I posted recipe here.

Mexican Rice.
Turmeric Rice.
Plain white rice.
Recently got a recipe for Saffron Rice. Have the Saffron seasoning already.
I also experiment with different seasonings, and types of rice combinations. (many)
I enjoy the variety of rice dishes we cook. :drool:drool:drool

For plain eating I love jasmine, if it's processed in any way I love mochi, horchata, tteokbokki, vermicelli, rice pudding, and rice flour cake things (idk what they're called but they're Asian thingies and they aren't puffy air pucks).
