11.25 acres surrounded by hayfields on two sides. Homes on 6 acre lots to the East and brush fields to the South. Turkeys, deer, fox, coyotes, opossums, raccoons, rabbits in the backyard daily along with a large variety of wild birds. Local people whose families have been in the community forever. Everyone minds their own business and stay out of the affairs of others. 15 minute drive to town with a TSC and variety of restaurants and stores. An hour drive to NYC or to Philadelphia, but who would want to go there?

Tan Suburbia on the sun-scorched edge of a desert metroplex. Lots of local wildlife that has adapted to "greenbelt wilderness" and the occasional migratory visitor.

I live in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, in a rural community that is fast becoming developed. Thankfully the farmland immediately surrounding us is “protected forever”.
We live on two acres. One one side all you see is trees. On the other side you look over the neighbor's hayfields and can admire the hazy blue mountains. In the back, there is a murky pond that is usually covered in algae.
It's a good place to be if you like to live quietly (there is really no community here - I still do not know who my neighbors are) yet close to the big cities (NYC, Philly, DC). Also you are surrounded by history...George Washington came through town many years ago!

Woods and a creek to the north, woods and a river to the west. Woods and 4 houses to the southwest (GREAT neighbors!). Southeast are my gardens (2), and a rolling field of grass. 25 acres, my forever home.
