I live in a small city with 40.000 inhabitants. Flat like most of the Netherlands (great for biking). We have a larger garden than people in my country usually have. Our house is located at the end of a street (no passing cars). The plot is not rectangular and about 500 m2.

We have 2 neighbours at the West, 1 North and 1 on the East side. South of the garden lies municipality ground with kinda natural growth with wild blackberries, and a creek with a spring to the south. Trees, hedges and houses surround us. We see the back of a garage behind the creek and some trees (photo).

Within 1 km of the ocean in a City - that most places would call a big town. Western Aust. has less than 3 million people to go round.
It's hot in summer and cool in winter, and even allowing for being in the middle of town I only have one neighbour cause the other sides are bushland. Typical Aussie 1/4 acre.
