Question of the Day - Thursday, June 12th, 2025

11.25 acres surrounded by hayfields on two sides. Homes on 6 acre lots to the East and brush fields to the South. Turkeys, deer, fox, coyotes, opossums, raccoons, rabbits in the backyard daily along with a large variety of wild birds. Local people whose families have been in the community forever. Everyone minds their own business and stay out of the affairs of others. 15 minute drive to town with a TSC and variety of restaurants and stores. An hour drive to NYC or to Philadelphia, but who would want to go there?
Wow this pretty closely describes my area except .... 10 acres. .... 30 minute drive to a proper town worthy of the name, ... we have a Bomgaar's, not a TSC, and a three hour drive will get you to doctors in St Louis and an airport. Oh and everyone minds EVERYONE's business, lol.

And no development nearby. Thanks to goodness.

@BDutch, great question.

If you would like to see what it looks like and get a feel for where I live, just go through this BYC thread of mine:

Cape Town Guinea Fowl

Note that there are somewhat large gif files on page 2 and 3 of the thread, which may take a while to load if you do not have a fast internet connection, but all the rest of the pages have semi-low resolution images on them which should load just fine.
