Barefoot when I can, flip flops when I have to, flip flops with socks when it's cold, and on the deepest, darkest, snowiest days I will grudgingly slip on some slide on boots and curse the world for allowing winter to exist.

Oh ...
Yeah I forgot. I have indoor sandals and a chicken coop pair. Plus in the summer I have knee-high boots that I wear outside bc of this ubiquitous little critter that exists out here called ... TICKS.
And I have a pretty pair of sandals for church. Which I also wear with socks. Bc I'm a weirdo that can't stand the feeling of my bare feet in a shoe of any kind.

I love them, I've been wearing them for the past 5 years and have 4 different pairs.

Nothing is the preferred option...
But unfortunately in Winter I have to deal with wet grass (which I can't stand) and snakes in Summer, so for outside boots would be it

When I can get away with it I wear "flip-flops" (I hate calling them that ) or slides.

I've grown up calling them flip-flops so see no issue with it, but my grandmother's generation called them "thongs." Thongs are . . . something else to my generation, so this bothers me no end.
