The first time then boyfriend (now hubby) took me backpacking, we camped near a small lake. The spring peepers were absolutely DEAFENING! Our ears were ringing the next morning.

The first time we went camping, I had an allergic reaction to something and half my face swelled up. I looked like Quasimodo. The second time, we were caught in a wind storm and almost gone blown into the lake. I still love camping

Dad took us up into the CO Rockies so early one spring we got snowed on during the night. Mom covered us all with newspapers to insulate us from the cold, it was awful. It was still fun in the morning and we all went fishing when the sun came up. Mom cooked eggs and potatoes and all was right with the world.

Ya. Gave it up when to many glampers started showing up.
