Sparkly is one I've never heard of before!

I just remembered my grandmother called them soda water, and my father-in-law says fountain drink.

Remember the soda fountains at the corner drug store when I was a kid, Root Beer Floats were my favorites.

Those were before my time but I've discovered A&Ws have sure changed since I was a kid.

Yes, I am from Alabama.

When you said that it sounded very familiar and I have heard it many times. I think I may have said it as well. I think I say "drink", but I have definitely heard "drank". It makes sense, too. It is a drink. They want one, then what kind.

They are gone in my area along with Stewert's Root Beer.
