I say coke and soda pretty much interchangeably. I don't know what causes me to use one or the other at any time.

Sparkly is one I've never heard of before!

I just remembered my grandmother called them soda water, and my father-in-law says fountain drink.

In the UK sparkly is a name for champagne.

Pop. That's what it's called here in Michigan, though if you say soda, people will know what you mean.

Unless you're ordering a mixed drink. Soda is something different then.
