Question of the Day - Wednesday, June 5th, 2024

I used to have a small collection of gastroliths.

Rocks that animals swallow to help break up food in their gut. In this case, fossilized ones. Mine were from fossil deposits containing hadrosaurs, stegosaurs, and giant sloths.

(edit: Allegedly. I got them at rock shows)
That's awesome! Makes me think of one that I forgot. My son and I have a small collection of fossils and teeth

Strangest? I'm not sure I'd think of any of my collections, past or present, as strange. Maybe all the turtle shells I find? But I can't see that as all that strange, either. People find the number of birds I have excessive, but their food source is entirely the grocery store, so perspectives are different.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I guess the collection that's given most people pause is my board game collection. I don't even have all that many board games, but they're prominently displayed in the living room so it catches people's notice.

I can't believe you have The Farming Game! It was hard for me to find one.

Do you play them all?

I love The Farming Game. I found it on craigslist over 10 years ago, and at the time I bought it I had never heard of it before. I'm really glad I decided to buy it on a whim.

Yeah. Anything that doesn't get played I gift to friends, so I'm down to my favorites that actually get table time. Edit: except for Arcadia Quest. I still haven't played that one for some reason.

My son received the Trekking game from our aunt and uncle. It's a very cool game
