Marie Callendar's serve(d) a delighful sweet, cakelike cornbread that I loved. I used to have a recipe for it. Since I've been in MO I've had to learn to like the thin, crispy, dry, unsweetened version served here (and how to make it). I can eat it with honey in a bowl with milk.Ya I agree on that one. I've never had sweet cornbread. We use cornmeal from a local corn mill which is naturally kinda sweet but we don't add sugar.
