question on a cross

I am curious about a buff cochin/blrw cross. I have the opportunity to trade a rir hatchery chick for one. Any input? Good idea, bad?

Why? variety is the spice of life.
Why not? If you need purebred eggs, I hope you will be able to tell the eggs apart. I like seeing the different kinds of chickens myself.

I'm excited about the prospect myself. The blrw are gorgeouse, I'm just not sure how the coloring will come out with that cross. I'll post pics when she's older.
