Question on behavior of 2-4 week old chicks

Have 3 setsof chicks-7 total i the brooder together, had merged two batches today into a whole new brooder(large rubbermaid tote) and all are getting along well, ONe of my chicks was making weird motions earlier, like she wanted to crow, but seems to be better now, But her two sisters(all 4 week old red sex links) are burrowing into the corner of their brooder in their pine shavings and kicking/kinda laying on their side and then they all seemed to go to sleep?? Is this "normal" chic behavior?? I was so scared when they were kicking and seeme to be burrowing their bodies against the brooder bottom...Am I just an overprotective chicky Mama?? I did give them some french fries earlier(rather my 3 yr old son did) but they have grit available..Have checked them all and no mites or anything I can see

Sounds like they are starting to take baths. Just like the older girls do in dirt, they with try it in the brooder...

My chicks did that too and that is definately a dust bath!
