Good afternoon, this is my first posting here and I'm glad I found this site.
I have a beautiful partridge cochin rooster and 19 hens including several cochin hens. ( white, buff ,and black in color) . I was wondering if anyone has any experience with breeding and colors. Even though I have had chickens for 4 years I have never bred them.
My Buff Orpington hen and my white cochin hen are broodie and hatching out a cluch of eggs each. I was wondering what I might expect to see for colors , also what happens when you cross a cochin and an orpington?
Thanks for any help or sites where I may find this info since a goggle search came up blank.

you will get a variety of colors, bit of a crap shoot. the orpington cochin cross will probably have a pointed tail not a round cushion, and feathered legs. I just hatched out a std cochin, EE cross, It is a too poofy ball of fluff. cheek poofs and feathered feet

Thanks for the input. They should be hatching out next week . I'll let you know what I get when then mature alittle.
