Question on breeds/flocks

I have a flock of brown egg layers & some silkies and want to add some ornamental chickens to it for something different to look at.Does anyone know, do the ornamental chickens roost like the egg layers? Will they use the nesting boxes? Or will they need floor space like the silkies do?
Also, how many chickens are in the average flock? I want a barnyard look with a variety of all kinds of chickens.If I get 1 each of the different kinds of ornamental chickens I like will they mix in ok together? I usually get 2 of the same kind. And finally how many chickens can I fit comfortably into a 8 x1o coop? I have a huge pen area.We do have rough winters tho.Any help/ advice is greatly appreciated as I don't want to get in too far over my head.Thanks

I usually end up with one or two of each kind I find. I have a big mix and they get along great. As long as they grow up together they should be fine.

Thanks, do u use nesting boxes and roosts? My silkies seem to be content just on the floor laying in the corner.
