I got my chicks medicated when I picked them up. I allready ran out of my non medicated feed. Just picked up a bag of Pen Pals Starter grower chicken Feed made by ADM. It has Amprolium and Bacatriacin in it. Is this medicated feed? If this is medicated feed it will wipe out what they gave my new chickens? Need to know fast. Haven't given any of this feed yet to my newborn chicks yet. Please advise?

So, yes, the amprolium in it means it's medicated. I'm not familiar with bacatriacin and I don't know what that is. Googling didn't turn anything up either, so I'm not sure what that does.

Amprolium will protect against coccidiosis and will help keep your chicks from coming down with it. I'm not sure what you mean by it wiping out what they gave your new chickens? What did they give to your new chickens? If they are already infected with coccidiosis, then you will need to treat with Corid, because the feed only helps prevent them getting it, it won't treat an active case of it.

They vaccinated against Marek's disease only. I looked it up in there book From the hatchery. So I don't think the amprolium has anything to do with Marek's disease.
It seems strange to me that the bag of feed. Doesn't state that it's medicated or not. No my chicks are happy healthy and growing. Thank you for your quick reply. Now I'm not worried.

No, amprolium has nothing to do with Marek's. It only helps protect against coccidiosis. You're welcome and I'm glad you're not worried any longer :)
