question on chicken run

I could face it the other way with the coop further from the house and run coming forward to the house but then electric would be hard since it is further away
My advice is to leave yourself the option of electricity. I was able to run an extension cord out to the run for a heated water bowl. The cord (heavy duty, three outlet) and bowl were $55. Some of the best money we spent for the coop. When we had a really cold snap last month, I knew the chickens always had water.

If you can't see the chickens from a window, that's another reason to go out and spend time with them. :)
