Question on Chicken Treats

So I'm wondering if chickens are able to eat/have strawberries as a treat? The 'Treat Chart' doesn't have them listed, and strawberries aren't a citrus, so they don't fall into that category. Can someone help me answer this?

I gave them some strawberries yesterday after you guys said it was safe...they TORE them up!!
