I have a few questions about what you do when you have hens that are differant ages.

I have one that just turned 20 weeks. the others range from 15 wks to 9 wks. I have 6 hens, two roos right now. If she starts laying and being fed layer how do I feed the others?
Do I need to seperate her for feeding I think it would be impossible to seperate her from the others. They all run in a pak and eat at the same time?

Thanks

I just let all mine eat the layer pellets, I put a bowl of oyster shell out for them and give all scraps. im new this year to chickens but they seem healthy and happy my pullets just started to lay

I agree with Coyote. If you have birds of all different ages you can feed flock raiser and offer oyster shell free choice. The hens that need it will take it.
