Question on feeding my girls weeds

I work for a property maintenance company and I have free reign on fields of weeds that are not fertilized I was wondering if this would be OK to feed them some weeds from the fields to give them some additional greens.

one good way to cut down the feed bill. Plus you have a good start on a compost pile.

I feed my girls weeds I pull from the garden/yard all the time. They love it! Especially the dandelions and clover and chickweed.

Very green way to dispose of your weeds!!! My girls go nutso when they see me coming with weeds!!!!!

That is a good thing cause it will save some money on having to buy greens for the girls thank you for your responses

How old do they need to be before you can feed weeds to them? Mine are 2-3 months.

As soon as they'll start eating them, but when they're chicks it is still considered a treat. They need the nutrients in their chick starter more than anything. Once on layer ration, you can go a little, or a lot, more nuts.
