Question on hatching eggs

I have some eggs due to hatch this weekend, they have been in an incubator on a turner but now I have some questions... I have several different hatch dates and everything I read said to quit turning 3 days before hatch. So I plan on taking them out and putting them in a bin with a heat lamp. We candled them tonight and are about 98% positive they are all fertile.
So here are my questions...
1) I plan on moving the eggs to a "brooder" should they remain in the same position they have been in the turner (up and down) or is it ok to lay them on their sides? If so would a cardboard egg carton be sufficient?
2) I plan on keeping them warm under a heat lamp, is this OK?
3) What humidity level should they be at for hatch?
4) What is the best to use on the floor of the brooder?
5) Is there a certain time from the first pip hole til they should be out of their shell before I worry?

Any other general knowledge will be great, I have never hatched any egg so I am a little nervous about it!

Also I hope it is ok but I am cross posting this to the incubating/hatching eggs area too...

You need to keep them in the bator untill they hatch are are all dry and fluffy. What you do is take them out of the turner and place them on their sides in the bator with out the turner in the bator. Then get the humidity up to 60-70% for the final 3 days.

Once they pip it can take up to 24 hrs for them to fully hatch out.

That is my problem, I don't have room in the incubator to take them off the turner (I have a small incubator and the whole thing has a turner) and I have several other eggs in there that are due to hatch up to 8 days later than the first. So I was planning on moving them to a "homemade" incubator with a heat lamp for heat, and humidity and no turners... Just didn't know the best way to do that.

well that is is not a good idea especially with turkey eggs. Best thing to do is go buy a chepo bator from TSC or some other farm store and that way you can do staggered hatches and use the one you buy as a hatcher.

The way you are talking to do it under a heat lamp will not work and if it does you'll have very poor success with that method. Best bet buy another cheapo bator and use it as a hatcher.

ok i guess i will go to TSC then

HOpefully this is a success!

Another option. Take all your eggs out of the turner, remove the turner and lay them all on their sides in the incubator. The ones due in 8 days will be fine not being turned for a few days(plus once the poults hatch they will turn them for you). This late in incubation not turning should not effect the hatch rate of your other eggs.
