Can I add chicks to the brooder with the first chicks. I have another hen setting due soon. If not I will leave them with the hen, but when I do that only about half will survive, they are free range chickens and who knows what gets them.

How different in ages are they?

They probably be about 3 days between them in age.
3 days shouldn't be any trouble IMO
